SOMETIMES!

Image
Sometimes we need to stop analyzing the past,   stop planning the future, stop figuring out precisely   how we feel, stop deciding with our minds exactly   what we want our hearts to feel, sometimes we   just have to go with the flow and just enjoy life.

I THINK........

There are three phases of knowledge in Islam. When a Muslim has a little bit of knowledge, he or she speaks a lot. When a Muslim has increased his or her knowledge, he or she feels humble. When a Muslim has collected an abundance of knowledge, he or she is silent. In Islam, "silence is a mark of intelligence." "When Allah knows you’re ready for the responsibility of commitment, He’ll reveal the right person under the right circumstances. Wait patiently. Don’t waste your time searching and wishing. Grow and be ready, you’ll see Allah will give you a love story far better than you could ever dream of." Do good before the door of repentance and the door of action are closed upon you, Do good before the peace, tranquillity and comfort leave you forever, Do good before distresses or adversities overtake you, Do good before troubles, anxieties and fears overcome you, Do good before death closes your eyes forever and D...

NO ONE IS DUPERIOR!

Image
One day, all the five fingers caught up a quarrel on who is superior. The thumb said, I am superior because nothing can be lifted without me. The forefinger said that I am used to point at things and it is not possible to give directions without me. But, the middle finger argued saying that I am the tallest and the biggest one.  And the ring finger said that it is the most superior one as it is decorated with precious jewels (Though contrary to the fact that today people are wearing rings in almost every finger!!!) Thus came the turn for the little finger. It thought.... It thought... And it continued thinking... To find out why it is superior to others. It could not come up with an answer.... By that time, the other fingers started teasing it badly... With tears and feeling pity towards itself, the little finger rushed to God... It prayed, "Hey God, you know everything. So, please tell me why you created me because I am good for nothing at all". God fel...

WALKING... :)

Image
Clinging to my mother’s arms… Consciously walking close to her… With her gracious saree caressing me… Oh! What a feel it gives… A feeling of love and protection!!!   Walking shoulder to shoulder with my friends… Eying at the cinema posters… Passing hi-five on sharing a joke… Oh! What a feel it gives… A feeling of friendship and glee!!!   Sharing an umbrella with that someone on a rainy day… Feeling high with the cool breeze swaying… Talking through eyes while passing a naughty smile… Oh! What a feel it gives… A feeling of love and  belonging !!! Recalling the sweetest of memories while walking alone … Capturing the panoramic view with my mental camera… Enchanted by the beauty of nature and its confluence with man-kind… Oh! What a feel it gives… A feeling of divinity and contentment!!! Oh! It’s a great feeling to just walk… It helps us to absorb our surroundings better… It is healthy and rejuvenating as well… It...

OPRAH MAHAL!

Image
MY LIFE HAS BEEN A TAJ MAHAL. -OPRAH WINFREY What does that even mean??? Well… Here are some possible guesses of what’s in her mind… Would you dare to spot out  the differences??? She was born in 1631 (Ooh! She must be older than the oldest living turtle!) After Oprah’s birth, the fingers of the doctors and nurses were chopped so that they would not deliver another master piece like her. Her dad created her in loving memory of his 3 rd wife. Around 20,000 people worked on her. 1000s of elephants were employed to transport materials required to construct her (Well... at least she doesn't look so heavy) She appears in different colours during different times of the day (Hmm... That explains 'the changing moods of women' stuff) She is a mausoleum. Some important studies reveal that she is sinking. She attracts about 2-4 million visitors annually with over 200,000 from overseas. She costs around...

EXPECTATIONS....

Image
Is it bad to have expectations? We always expect something or the other. We expect to wake up early and sleep early. We expect to stay away from illness and problems. We expect to enjoy life. We expect to find someone who never expects anything in return. We expect our loved one’s calls or at least a message or mail. We expect… We expect happiness of our special ones. We may even give up the relationship, expecting for their happiness. Here I am blogging… And I expect people to read it and comment on it! Life is surrounded by innumerous expectations. We go for shopping, expecting to buy something unique. We read a book, expecting to be entertained or informed. We know that expectations may hurt. Expecting too much may lead to disappointments. Yet, we expect. Its humane! We live our life expecting death! I can’t understand when people say, “Don’t expect anything in return?” Expecting nothing in return is an expectation in itself!! Too co...

MISTAKES

Image
Committing mistake is humane. But, committing the same mistake again is folly.   Analyzing the mistake is understandable. But, blaming others for the mistake is unpardonable.   Learning from one’s mistake is good. But, learning from others mistake is smart. Admitting the mistakes is divine. But, regretting the mistakes is destructive.
